Amy and Matt’s day had all the ingredients for a great festival wedding…dry weather, lots of good food and booze and a bunch of awesome people who just want to have fun. It was so much fun doing the photography for their Wildwood Bluebell festival wedding
Jen took the photos at our festival style wedding and they are fantastic! The whole process was brilliant – she worked with us throughout the planning process to help us decide what photos would be really important to us. On the day it didn’t feel at all like we had to pose at all and yet she still captured all of the special moments, details and the photos we hoped for. In the end, we liked them so much that we had to double the album size to incorporate all the ones we liked!

When Amy and Matt first got in touch with me about being the photographer for their Glastonbury inspired festival wedding at Wildwood Bluebell, I was so excited – they were planning the most fun outdoor wedding with a woodland ceremony, glitter parlour and even a surprise pole dance performance. Amy and Matt are the most relaxed couple and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
On the morning of the wedding I rocked up at Wildwood Bluebell, where the bride was getting ready with her six bridesmaids. Everyone was so chilled, especially Amy! The bride wore a strapless Ian Stuart dress and her bridesmaids wore dresses in the colours of the rainbow, each with a matching bouquet. Matt wore a grey waistcoat suit with his groomsmen in grey trousers, white shirts and braces.

The wedding took place in a woodland clearing at Wildwood Bluebell, and was an intimate humanist ceremony. They had a handfasting, which was a really nice personal touch. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together and were showered with flower petals. Whilst we did some family photos and some fun and creative portraits with the bridal party, the rest of the guests took advantage of the glitter parlour, cake canapés, and paddling pools full of booze.

During the reception they had a live guitarist, which gave the afternoon the festival vibe the couple were going for. Guests enjoyed a buffet BBQ and knocked back shots before watching the couple cut the cake. Before some emotional speeches, guests were entertained by an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ themed pole dancing performance – it went down a storm! The couple then had their first dance after which a live band got the the party started.

Wildwood Bluebell Wedding Photography
Wildwood Bluebell is set in the glorious Cotswolds, surrounded by wildflower meadows, bluebell woods and acres of farmland.
