Lauren and Gavin were married at Compton Verney, a Georgian Mansion and renowned art gallery near to Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon. It’s a wonderfully unique venue and one of my favourite Warwickshire venues for wedding photography.

I went to school with Lauren and after she’d attended previous weddings that I’d photographed, she booked me for her and Gavin’s colourful, autumn wedding. It was a vibrant, eclectic affair with oozes of personal touches. Lauren allowed her artistic personality to colour her theme, defying another florists disapproval to pair her chosen colour scheme of wild orange and purple flowers. Going against the grain of the more popular pastel choices was a bold move but one that certainly paid off, it was stunning! Arriving in her parents Citroen 2CV was another unique aspect and suffice to say I loved it – it’s always fun as a photographer when your couples take a few risks and often makes for some really original pictures.
